CNN poll finds that 71 percent of Americans believe economy is doing well.

On Monday, CNN released a poll finding an overwhelming majority of Americans believe the United States economy is doing well under Donald Trump’s presidency.

71 percent of Americans believe the economy is performing well, with only 27 percent rating U.S. economic conditions as being poor. CNN reports this is the highest number since February 2001 and the best of President Trump’s tenure.

The poll also shows that 51 percent of Americans give Trump positive ratings for policies on the economy, while 42 percent disapprove.

Additionally, Trump’s overall approval rating is 42 percent, which is the highest recorded in the poll since August of 2018. 51 percent disapprove, and 8 percent had no opinion.
