Could the “angle of attack” be responsible for Boeing 737 crashes?

Eight days ago, The Ethiopian Airlines killed 157 people. This led to a Boeing’s marquee MAX fleet being grounded globally.

In an analysis of the cockpit data, “angle of attack” records were “very, very similar” to the Lion Air jet’s data that went down off Jakarta in October, killing 189 people.

The angle of attack is a major parameter of flight. It measures the degrees between the air flow and the wings. If it is too high, it can throw the plane into an aerodynamic stall, resulting in a crash.
